A delicious fusion of tangy cranberries and vibrant orange, enveloped in barbecue sauce, perfect for gatherings or as an appetizer.


Ingredients

  • 1 bag fully cooked plain beef meatballs (about 50)
  • 1 can whole cranberry sauce
  • 1/4 cup orange marmalade
  • 1/4 cup spicy barbecue sauce
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest (fresh)
  • 2-3 fresh rosemary sprigs (or 1 teaspoon dried rosemary)
  • 2 tablespoons oil


Instructions

  1. In a large pan, heat 2 tablespoons of oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the meatballs in a single layer and brown them on all sides for about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Reduce the heat to medium-low, then blend in the cranberry sauce, orange marmalade, and barbecue sauce. Stir until well combined and heated through.
  3. Incorporate the orange zest and rosemary into the mixture. Allow to simmer until bubbly and the meatballs are warmed through—around 5 minutes.
  4. Remove the rosemary stems and serve directly from the pan or transfer to a decorative serving dish.

Notes

Consider garnishing with fresh rosemary or orange slivers for presentation. They pair well with toothpicks for easy serving.
