Description

A comforting dish that combines cheesy goodness with tender chicken, perfect for weeknights or entertaining guests.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F.
  2. In one dish, mix the breadcrumbs, half of the Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. In another bowl, beat the eggs and milk together until combined.
  4. Place the flour in a third dish for dredging.
  5. Dredge each chicken breast in flour, ensuring it’s well-coated.
  6. Dip the floured chicken in the egg mixture, allowing excess to drip off.
  7. Coat the chicken in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing lightly to adhere.
  8. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook the chicken for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  9. Transfer the chicken to a baking dish.
  10. In a small bowl, combine the remaining Parmesan, mozzarella, and minced garlic. Top the chicken with this mixture.
  11. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is thoroughly cooked (internal temperature of 165°F).

Notes

For optimal flavor, let the chicken marinate in the seasoning for at least 30 minutes before cooking.
