Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F.
- In one dish, mix the breadcrumbs, half of the Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- In another bowl, beat the eggs and milk together until combined.
- Place the flour in a third dish for dredging.
- Dredge each chicken breast in flour, ensuring it’s well-coated.
- Dip the floured chicken in the egg mixture, allowing excess to drip off.
- Coat the chicken in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing lightly to adhere.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook the chicken for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Transfer the chicken to a baking dish.
- In a small bowl, combine the remaining Parmesan, mozzarella, and minced garlic. Top the chicken with this mixture.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is thoroughly cooked (internal temperature of 165°F).
Notes
For optimal flavor, let the chicken marinate in the seasoning for at least 30 minutes before cooking.
