Description

A delightful dish combining the sweetness of honey with umami garlic, perfectly complementing tender shrimp.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Steamed rice or vegetables for serving

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together honey, garlic, soy sauce, and olive oil. If you prefer a thicker sauce, mix the cornstarch with a bit of water and stir it into the mixture.
  2. Heat a pan over medium heat and add olive oil.
  3. Add the shrimp to the pan, seasoning with salt and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes, until the shrimp turn pink and are cooked through.
  4. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the shrimp, cooking for an additional 2 minutes to allow the sauce to thicken and coat the shrimp.
  5. Serve the shrimp over a bed of steamed rice or with your favorite vegetables.

Notes

Avoid overcooking the shrimp by keeping a close eye. Feel free to customize ingredients for dietary preferences.
