Ingredients
- 2 lbs boneless chicken breasts
- 1 cup teriyaki sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey (optional for added sweetness)
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon minced ginger
- 2 cups steamed rice or noodles (for serving)
- Chopped green onions (for garnish, optional)
- Sesame seeds (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- Place the chicken breasts in your crockpot.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the teriyaki sauce, honey, garlic, and ginger until well combined.
- Pour the mixture over the chicken, ensuring it’s evenly coated.
- Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 4-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours.
- When done, shred the chicken in the sauce and stir to coat.
- Serve over steamed rice or noodles, topped with green onions and sesame seeds.
Notes
For a vegetarian option, substitute chicken with tofu. Experiment with adding vegetables like bell peppers or broccoli.
