Description

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups chocolate chips


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt until smooth.
  4. Beat in the vanilla extract and add the eggs, one at a time.
  5. Gradually blend in the flour mixture until combined.
  6. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  7. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing them evenly.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden brown and centers look slightly underbaked.
  9. Cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes
