Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda and set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt until smooth.
- Beat in the vanilla extract and add the eggs, one at a time.
- Gradually blend in the flour mixture until combined.
- Stir in the chocolate chips.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing them evenly.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden brown and centers look slightly underbaked.
- Cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
Chill the dough for 30 minutes for enhanced flavor and texture. Don’t overmix the flour mixture.
