Spinach and Ricotta Stuffed Shells

Description

A delightful dish of jumbo pasta shells filled with a creamy spinach and ricotta mixture, baked in marinara sauce.


Ingredients

  • 12 jumbo pasta shells
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup cooked and chopped spinach
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 jar marinara sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the jumbo pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, spinach, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until creamy.
  4. Fill each pasta shell generously with the cheese and spinach mixture.
  5. Spread a layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
  6. Place the filled pasta shells in the baking dish and pour the remaining marinara sauce over the top.
  7. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  8. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  9. Let cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!

Notes

Garnish with fresh basil or parsley. Serve with a side salad and garlic bread.
