A comforting casserole combining tender egg noodles, savory ground beef, and creamy sour cream for a delicious meal.
Ingredients
- 12 oz egg noodles
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the egg noodles according to the package instructions, then drain and set aside.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef with the diced onion and minced garlic until the beef is browned. Drain any excess fat.
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked noodles, beef mixture, sour cream, cream of mushroom soup, and half of the grated cheddar cheese. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish and top with the remaining cheddar cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
- Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
This casserole is easy to make ahead of time and can be frozen before baking. Best served with a salad or garlic bread.
