Description

A comforting casserole combining tender egg noodles, savory ground beef, and creamy sour cream for a delicious meal.


Ingredients

  • 12 oz egg noodles
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the egg noodles according to the package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef with the diced onion and minced garlic until the beef is browned. Drain any excess fat.
  4. In a large bowl, combine the cooked noodles, beef mixture, sour cream, cream of mushroom soup, and half of the grated cheddar cheese. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish and top with the remaining cheddar cheese.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

This casserole is easy to make ahead of time and can be frozen before baking. Best served with a salad or garlic bread.
