Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup yogurt
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup cooked sausage or bacon, crumbled
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your favorite blend)
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix the milk, yogurt, and melted butter until well blended.
  4. Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined.
  5. Fold in the crumbled sausage or bacon, shredded cheese, and green onions.
  6. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead gently for about a minute.
  7. Roll out the dough to approximately 1 inch thick and cut into rectangles or squares.
  8. Place the cut pieces on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 15–20 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
