Description

A delicious and simple chicken dish featuring tender chicken breasts with zesty lemon and aromatic garlic, ready in under 30 minutes.


Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • Fresh parsley for garnish


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then coat them in Parmesan cheese.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and cook the chicken for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  4. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  6. Add butter, lemon juice, and lemon zest, mixing everything well.
  7. Return the chicken to the skillet, spoon the sauce over it, and cook for an additional 5-10 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in lemon juice and garlic for a couple of hours before cooking. If you’d like a creamier sauce, stir in a splash of heavy cream during the last few minutes of cooking.
