A delicious and simple chicken dish featuring tender chicken breasts with zesty lemon and aromatic garlic, ready in under 30 minutes.
Ingredients
- 2 chicken breasts
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
- Zest of 1 lemon
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then coat them in Parmesan cheese.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and cook the chicken for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Add butter, lemon juice, and lemon zest, mixing everything well.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, spoon the sauce over it, and cook for an additional 5-10 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in lemon juice and garlic for a couple of hours before cooking. If you’d like a creamier sauce, stir in a splash of heavy cream during the last few minutes of cooking.
