Delicious and easy-to-make Philly Cheesesteak Sloppy Joes that bring classic cheesesteak flavors into a convenient weeknight meal.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 tbsp A-1 sauce
- 1 tsp steak seasoning
- 4 toasted buns
- 4 slices provolone cheese
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until it’s browned and nicely crumbled.
- Add the chopped onion and green pepper to the skillet. Sauté until they’re softened and fragrant.
- Stir in the beef broth, A-1 sauce, and steak seasoning. Let this simmer for about 15 minutes until it thickens slightly.
- Serve the savory mixture piled high on toasted buns topped with slices of provolone cheese.
Notes
For a leaner option, substitute ground beef with ground turkey or chicken. You can also switch the cheese to cheddar or mozzarella.
