Description

Delicious and easy-to-make Philly Cheesesteak Sloppy Joes that bring classic cheesesteak flavors into a convenient weeknight meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp A-1 sauce
  • 1 tsp steak seasoning
  • 4 toasted buns
  • 4 slices provolone cheese

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until it’s browned and nicely crumbled.
  2. Add the chopped onion and green pepper to the skillet. Sauté until they’re softened and fragrant.
  3. Stir in the beef broth, A-1 sauce, and steak seasoning. Let this simmer for about 15 minutes until it thickens slightly.
  4. Serve the savory mixture piled high on toasted buns topped with slices of provolone cheese.

Notes

For a leaner option, substitute ground beef with ground turkey or chicken. You can also switch the cheese to cheddar or mozzarella.
