Description
A creamy, flavorful one-pot dish combining hearty pasta and smoky kielbasa sausage, perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
- 12 oz penne or rotini pasta
- 1 tbsp olive oil

- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cups low-sodium chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste

- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the sliced kielbasa and cook for about 4-5 minutes until it is nicely browned.
- Toss in the minced garlic and chopped onion, sautéing for another 2 minutes until fragrant and the onion turns translucent.
- Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream, bringing it to a light simmer.
- Stir in your pasta, cover the pot, and let it simmer for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is al dente.
- Gradually stir in the Parmesan cheese until it is melted and the sauce becomes creamy. Then add the cheddar or mozzarella cheese and stir until it fully melts.
- Season your dish with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika if you’re using it.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot, optionally topping with extra grated Parmesan.
