A delicious and comforting one-pan meal combining chicken, broccoli, and creamy orzo pasta, topped with melty cheese.
Ingredients
- 1 pound chicken breast, diced
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 1 cup orzo pasta
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add diced chicken and cook until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes, seasoning with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Incorporate broccoli florets and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until bright green.
- Stir in orzo pasta and chicken broth. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover, and let simmer for 10-12 minutes until orzo is tender and has absorbed most of the liquid.
- Remove from heat and mix in shredded cheese until melted and creamy.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
For variations, substitute with your favorite cheese or add extra veggies. This dish can be stored in the fridge for 3-4 days and reheated easily.
