Description

A delicious and comforting one-pan meal combining chicken, broccoli, and creamy orzo pasta, topped with melty cheese.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken breast, diced
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add diced chicken and cook until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes, seasoning with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Incorporate broccoli florets and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until bright green.
  3. Stir in orzo pasta and chicken broth. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover, and let simmer for 10-12 minutes until orzo is tender and has absorbed most of the liquid.
  4. Remove from heat and mix in shredded cheese until melted and creamy.
  5. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

For variations, substitute with your favorite cheese or add extra veggies. This dish can be stored in the fridge for 3-4 days and reheated easily.
