Description

A quick and flavorful balsamic-baked chicken that pleases even picky eaters, perfect for busy weeknights.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup olive oil


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and set a rack in the center position.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together balsamic vinegar, olive oil, soy sauce, minced garlic, oregano, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
  3. Place chicken breasts in a shallow baking dish, pour marinade over them, and ensure they are fully coated. Let them sit for 10-20 minutes if time allows.
  4. Bake on the center rack for 25-30 minutes, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  5. Remove from the oven and let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Serve hot with your favorite sides.

Notes

For even cooking, pound uneven breast pieces to uniform thickness. For a lower-sodium option, reduce soy sauce and add a splash more balsamic.
