Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • A pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter with the mashed bananas.
  3. Stir in the baking soda and salt until well incorporated.
  4. Add in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract, mixing everything well.
  5. Slowly mix in the flour, being careful to combine it just enough.
  6. In a separate bowl, whisk together the cinnamon and brown sugar.
  7. Pour half of the banana bread batter into a greased loaf pan and sprinkle with half of the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  8. Spoon the remaining batter into the pan and top it off with the remaining cinnamon sugar.
  9. Using a knife, gently swirl through the batter to create a marbled effect.
  10. Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean from the center.
  11. Let the bread cool before slicing and serving.

Notes

For a deeper flavor, consider using brown sugar. Always use overripe bananas for the best results.
