A delightful and moist banana bread with a heavenly cinnamon swirl, perfect for breakfasts or afternoon snacks.
Ingredients
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- A pinch of salt
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter with the mashed bananas.
- Stir in the baking soda and salt until well incorporated.
- Add in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract, mixing everything well.
- Slowly mix in the flour, being careful to combine it just enough.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the cinnamon and brown sugar.
- Pour half of the banana bread batter into a greased loaf pan and sprinkle with half of the cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Spoon the remaining batter into the pan and top it off with the remaining cinnamon sugar.
- Using a knife, gently swirl through the batter to create a marbled effect.
- Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean from the center.
- Let the bread cool before slicing and serving.
Notes
For a deeper flavor, consider using brown sugar. Always use overripe bananas for the best results.
