Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey or beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 4 cups chicken or vegetable broth
  • 8 oz lasagna noodles, broken into pieces
  • 2 cups spinach or kale, chopped
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Brown the meat: Start by heating a large pot over medium heat. Add the ground turkey or beef and let it sear until beautifully browned.
  2. Add aromatics: Toss in the chopped onions and minced garlic, stirring them together until the onions are soft and translucent.
  3. Incorporate the tomatoes and broth: Stir in the crushed tomatoes, broth, and Italian seasoning. Raise the heat to bring your mixture to a boil.
