Ingredients
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko for extra crunch)
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup flour
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional spices: garlic powder, paprika, or Italian seasoning
- Cooking oil (for frying)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (if baking) or heat oil in a deep skillet (if frying).
- Season the chicken pieces with salt, pepper, and any additional spices you prefer.
- Set up a breading station with three shallow bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs.
- Dredge each chicken piece in flour, shaking off excess, dip it in egg, then coat it with breadcrumbs, pressing down to adhere.
- Place coated chicken bites on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper (if baking) or carefully add to hot oil (if frying).
- Bake for about 20 minutes or until golden and cooked through, flipping halfway, or fry for 5-6 minutes on each side until golden.
- Remove from heat, let cool slightly, and serve warm.
Notes
Marinate chicken in buttermilk for extra juiciness. Use panko for enhanced crispiness.
