Description

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf of bread (cubed)
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup cream
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • Butter (for greasing)
  • Powdered sugar (for serving, optional)


Instructions

  1. Whisk together eggs, milk, cream, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt in a large mixing bowl until fully combined.
  2. Grease a baking dish with butter to prevent sticking.
  3. Place cubed bread evenly in the prepared dish.
  4. Pour the egg mixture over the bread.
  5. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.
  6. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) the next morning.
  7. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until golden brown and custard is set.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before serving and dust with powdered sugar, if desired.

Notes
