Ingredients
- 1 cup fresh cranberries
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 package of crescent roll dough
- 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a medium saucepan, combine the cranberries, sugar, and water. Cook over medium heat until the cranberries pop, stirring occasionally.
- Roll out the crescent dough on a flat surface and cut it into rectangles.
- In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese with the vanilla extract until smooth.
- Spread a layer of the cream cheese mixture onto each rectangle of dough.
- Add a spoonful of your cranberry mixture on top of the cream cheese.
- Roll the dough carefully to enclose the filling and place each roll on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until they turn golden brown.
- Allow them to cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar and serving.
Notes
Serve warm or at room temperature and pair with drinks like hot cocoa or sparkling wine. For added flavor, sprinkle cinnamon in the cream cheese mixture.
