Description

A classic recipe for a moist and flavorful banana bread, perfect for breakfast or snacks.

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas (mashed)
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg (beaten)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, mash the bananas with a fork until smooth.
  4. Stir the melted butter into the mashed bananas until well combined.
  5. Add the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract to the mixture and mix until evenly blended.
  6. Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the banana mixture, then stir gently.
  7. Add in the flour and fold it in just until the flour disappears—be careful not to overmix.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread it out evenly.
  9. Bake for 50 to 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  10. Allow the banana bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Use ripe bananas for the best flavor and texture. You can add nuts, chocolate chips or spices for variations.
