Description

A comforting dish combining tender chicken and fluffy dumplings cooked in a savory broth, perfect for weeknight dinners or cozy gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups of chicken broth
  • 2 cups of cooked, shredded chicken
  • 1 can of cream of chicken soup
  • 1 bag of frozen mixed vegetables
  • 1 teaspoon of onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon of dried thyme
  • 1 can of refrigerated biscuit dough
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. In a slow cooker, combine the chicken broth, shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, frozen mixed vegetables, onion powder, garlic powder, thyme, salt, and pepper. Stir to incorporate everything evenly.
  2. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  3. About 30 minutes before serving, cut the biscuit dough into quarters and drop them on top of the chicken mixture in the slow cooker.
  4. Cover again and cook until the biscuits are fluffy and cooked through.
  5. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the refrigerator or frozen for up to 3 months.
