Ingredients

  • 30 oz frozen hashbrowns, thawed
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the thawed hashbrowns, melted butter, sour cream, cream of chicken soup, shredded cheddar cheese, chopped onion, salt, and pepper.
  3. Stir until everything is well incorporated and evenly coated.
  4. Transfer the mixture into a greased baking dish.
  5. Bake in the oven for 45-50 minutes, or until golden and bubbly.
  6. Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For a lighter option, substitute Greek yogurt for sour cream. You can also make this dish ahead of time and bake it in the morning for an easy breakfast.
