Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup packed light-brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups semisweet and/or milk chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C).
- In a small bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda; set it aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the room temperature butter and both sugars together on medium speed for about 2 minutes until light and fluffy.
- Add in the salt, vanilla extract, and eggs; mix until combined.
- Gradually incorporate the flour mixture into the wet ingredients until no streaks of flour remain.
- Stir in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Drop rounded balls of dough onto baking sheets lined with parchment paper, leaving 2 inches of space between each.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden and centers are soft.
- Let cool on sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
