Description

Soft, fluffy cinnamon rolls elevated with the rich flavor of Nutella and topped with icing.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup Nutella
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar (for icing, optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, melted butter, and egg until smooth.
  4. Gradually mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until a soft dough forms.
  5. Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a rectangle, roughly 10×14 inches.
  6. Spread Nutella evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges. Sprinkle cinnamon on top.
  7. Starting from one long edge, roll the dough tightly into a log. Cut into 8 equal rolls.
  8. Place the rolls in a greased baking dish, ensuring they’re close but not touching.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed up.
  10. Drizzle with icing made from powdered sugar and water after baking.

Notes

These rolls can be enjoyed warm with a cup of coffee. They can also be frozen for up to 2 months.
