Description
Soft, fluffy cinnamon rolls elevated with the rich flavor of Nutella and topped with icing.
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup Nutella
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar (for icing, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, melted butter, and egg until smooth.
- Gradually mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until a soft dough forms.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a rectangle, roughly 10×14 inches.
- Spread Nutella evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges. Sprinkle cinnamon on top.
- Starting from one long edge, roll the dough tightly into a log. Cut into 8 equal rolls.
- Place the rolls in a greased baking dish, ensuring they’re close but not touching.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed up.
- Drizzle with icing made from powdered sugar and water after baking.
Notes
These rolls can be enjoyed warm with a cup of coffee. They can also be frozen for up to 2 months.
