Ingredients
- 4 chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh herbs (thyme or rosemary)
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Marinate the chicken breasts in olive oil, minced garlic, fresh herbs, lemon juice, salt, and pepper for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add a splash of olive oil.
- Add the marinated chicken to the skillet and sear for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside. Add any remaining marinade to the skillet and cook for another minute to create a sauce.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, spoon the sauce over it, and let it simmer for an additional 3-5 minutes.
Notes
Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing to retain juices. Marinating overnight enhances the flavors.
