Ingredients
- 2 slices of bread
- 1 cup cooked chicken, shredded
- 1 ripe avocado, mashed
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- 1 tablespoon mayonnaise (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Butter for grilling
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together the shredded chicken and mashed avocado. Add mayonnaise, salt, and pepper if desired.
- Spread the chicken and avocado mixture on one slice of bread.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese over the mixture and top with the second slice of bread.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt a thin layer of butter.
- Grill the sandwich for 2 to 3 minutes on each side until golden brown and cheese is melted.
- Remove from skillet, slice in half, and serve warm.
Notes
For creamier texture, use mayonnaise. Feel free to swap bread or cheese varieties.
