A creamy and spicy Cajun Chicken Pasta that turns any ordinary dinner into a culinary adventure, perfect for weeknight meals or impressing guests.
Ingredients
- 2 chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
- 8 ounces fettuccine or penne pasta
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 1 onion, diced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to the package instructions, then drain and set aside.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Coat the chicken breasts with Cajun seasoning and place them in the skillet. Cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-7 minutes per side. Remove and slice.
- In the same skillet, add the diced onion and sliced bell pepper; sauté until soft.
- Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine, and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Add the cooked pasta and sliced chicken back to the skillet. Mix well and cook for a few minutes to meld the flavors.
- Stir in the Parmesan cheese, seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
Notes
For extra heat, consider adding crushed red pepper flakes to the cream sauce. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
