Description

Delicious and nutritious Banana Oatmeal Bars that are easy to prepare, perfect for breakfast or a quick snack.


Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup nut butter (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • Pinch of salt


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix mashed bananas, honey (or maple syrup), nut butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Add rolled oats, cinnamon, baking powder, and a pinch of salt; stir until well combined.
  4. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading evenly.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until edges are golden brown.
  6. Allow to cool before cutting into bars.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week. Freeze for longer storage.
